Flyers Punch Ticket to Nationals with Third-Place Finish at NCAA Midwest Regional

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ women's cross country team punched its ticket to nationals with an impressive third-place finish at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional on Saturday (Nov. 8), hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Parkside. The Flyers tallied 90 points, securing one of the region's automatic qualifying spots.
´³³Ü²Ô¾±´Ç°ù (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) led the charge for Lewis, crossing the line in 21:08.0 and placed seventh overall. Senior (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) followed close behind in 15th at 21:29.8, while senior (Rochester, Ind./Rochester Community) finished 18th in 21:30.7. Rounding out the top five were senior (Frankfort, Ill./Lincolnway East) in 23rd (21:45.2) and freshman (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) in 27th (21:52.4).
´³³Ü²Ô¾±´Ç°ù (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) (57th, 22:38.9) and junior (Charleston, Ill./Charleston) (106th, 23:26.3) also turned in strong performances to help the Flyers secure their top-three finish.
Grand Valley State captured the team title with 25 points, and individually, Lauren Kiley of Grand Valley State claimed the regional crown in 20:38.0.
