Molly’s Cupcakes Founder Dori Isufi Visits Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ February 4

Published: January 25, 2026.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is bringing inspiration, innovation, and a little sweetness to campus in February with a dynamic, student-centered entrepreneurship experience hosted by the Lewis Innovation Hub, Entrepreneurship Club, and Women in Business Club.

On February 4, students from all majors are invited to attend a special guest speaker event featuring Dori Isufi, founder of the iconic Chicago-based brand Molly’s Cupcakes. Taking place during Community Hour from noon – 1:00 p.m. in SB 171 of St. Charles Borromeo Center in Romeoville, Isufi will share her entrepreneurial journey and insights into building a purpose-driven, woman-led business from idea to beloved brand.

“This event is about showing students that entrepreneurship isn’t limited to one major or one path,” said Avi Tiwari, director of the Lewis Innovation Hub & Stahl Center. “It’s about bold ideas, creative confidence, and giving students a real on-ramp to turn inspiration into action.”

The guest speaker event also serves as a gateway into Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s premier innovation experience, the Br. Joel Damian Business Pitch Competition is an annual, university-wide competition open to students across all colleges and disciplines.

Following the talk, students are invited to participate in the Pitch Prep Pizza Palooza Clinic, running from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m. in SB 143. Hosted by the Innovation Hub team alongside the university’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence- Jay Savsani, the clinic provides hands-on, one-on-one support to help students complete and submit their pitch competition applications, often in under 30 minutes.

Free pizza will be served, and virtual advising sessions are also available for students who cannot attend in person.

The final application deadline for the Br. Joel Damian Business Pitch Competition is on February 14. Finalists will pitch live to judges, investors, and community leaders at a culminating event in Convocation Hall, competing for cash prizes, mentorship, and Innovation Hub resources.
