Oak Brook Session I Classes Will Continue at Alternate Sites

Oak Brook Session I Classes Will Continue at Alternate Locations

Published: February 19, 2026.

All Session I classes and activities originally scheduled at its Oak Brook location (1111 W 22nd Street) will shift to alternative formats or locations due to ongoing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) administrative operations occurring at the site.

All in-person activities scheduled at Oak Brook during Session I of the Spring Semester (January 20–March 14, 2026) will be transitioned as follows:

  • College of Business classes: fully online
  • Radiography program: combination of online and in-person classes at alternative locations
  • Nursing program: combination of online and in-person classes at alternative locations

The temporary change is aligned with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Catholic and Lasallian mission. It calls us to foster a respectful, supportive, and inclusive environment where every individual is valued and treated with dignity. This commitment guides our decision making, particularly when circumstances arise that may cause concern, anxiety, or disruption for members of our community.

Our priority is to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. We remain in active dialogue with property management and other partners to explore options while ICE administrative operations continue at the site. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ continues to work with partners to determine solutions for courses scheduled beyond Session I and will share updates as they become available.

The university leadership made the decision to adjust course locations after careful consideration, including student feedback and operational constraints.

“We deeply appreciate the patience, flexibility, and goodwill our students, faculty, and staff have shown,” said Provost Christopher Sindt. “This situation has brought challenges, but the resilience and cooperation of our community reflect our shared commitment to supporting one another.”

Students seeking support may contact the  or TimelyCareavailable 24/7. Additional assistance is available through the Office of Lasallian Belonging, Dean of Students, University Ministry, or University Police.
