Over 1,300 Students to be Honored at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Commencement Ceremonies

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ will celebrate Commencement ceremonies for more than 1,300 students May 15-16 on the university’s campus in Romeoville.
The weekend begins at noon on Friday, May 15, in the Sancta Alberta Chapel with a Mass of Celebration for all the accomplishments of our graduates, as well as for the love and support of their families, friends, and educators. All graduates and their families, faculty, and staff are invited to attend, regardless of faith tradition. An invitation was sent to the graduating students' email addresses.
The begins at 3:30 p.m. for the College of Aviation, Science, and Technology undergraduate and graduate degree recipients.
Micah West, Aviation Maintenance Technology Bachelor’s Degree recipient will offer the Student Lasallian Commencement Address to share insights on the University Mission values and their meaning to her education.
During the ceremony, Joshua Brown, Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree recipient, will be recognized with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award. It’s the university’s highest honor for academic achievement, leadership, and service.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Alumnus Dr. Arvid Johnson will receive an honorary degree for his life’s work in advancing science, higher education, and student success as a researcher, board member, dean, and university president.
The , beginning at 7:00 p.m., will honor the graduates of the College of Education and Social Sciences as well as the College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communications. This ceremony will honor students not only receiving their bachelor’s and master’s degrees but also those receiving their doctoral degrees.
Anna Sense, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s Degree recipient will offer the Student Lasallian Commencement Address to share insights on the University Mission values and their meaning to her education.
On Saturday, May 16, the will begin at 9:00 a.m. and honor the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. This ceremony will honor students not only receiving their bachelor’s and master’s degrees but also those receiving their doctoral degrees.
The will begin at 12:30 p.m. and honor the College of Business undergraduate and graduate degree recipients.
Tickets are limited for the in-person events. The degree ceremonies will be streamed live by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Television Network and Department of Communications.
