Appointments

The Writing Center offers a variety of appointments for writers who are both on
campus and off campus and at any stage of the writing process. Writers can
schedule an In Person appointment to meet with a mentor at the Library or a Phone
or Video appointment.

Appointments can be made for 30, 60, or 90-minute periods. A real-time
appointment allows questions and comments to be addressed upfront and
promotes dialogue between the writer and mentor to produce fruitful revisions.

In Person
Meet with a mentor in the Writing Center, located on the first floor of the LRC. Please
bring all materials that may be relevant to the paper (i.e. rubric or assignment sheet)
and prepare topics you would like to discuss.

Video
A mentor will email you a link to a Microsoft Teams video meeting right before the
scheduled start time of your appointment. You are encouraged to attach your paper
and relevant materials to the appointment when scheduling. Attachments can be
edited or added after the appointment has been made.

Phone
A mentor will call you at the scheduled time to begin the appointment. You are
encouraged to attach your paper and relevant materials to the appointment when
scheduling. Attachments can be edited or added after the appointment has been
made.
